OK2TALK [web resource]
A public service campaign from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), OK2TALK.org is an online community where teens and young adults struggling with mental health conditions can find a safe place to talk about what they’re experiencing by sharing their personal stories of recovery, tragedy, struggle or hope.
About OK2Talk
Living with mental illness may sometimes leave you feeling hopeless and alone. Often, you may not know what’s wrong or you may even feel like you’ve done something wrong. Even when you do understand what’s happening, you may find it hard to talk about what you’re going through with friends and family. The stigma associated with having a mental illness often makes it hard to talk openly about your feelings and experiences.
Anyone can add their voice by sharing stories, poems, inspirational quotes, photos, videos, song lyrics and messages of support in a safe, moderated space.
NAMI hopes that OK2TALK is the first step toward getting help and feeling better. If you or someone you care about needs immediate help, someone is available 24/7 at 1-800-TALK.
Do you need someone to talk to? CHC can help. We invite you to call or email our Care Coordinators at 650.688.3625 or careteam@testing.chconline.org to set up a free 30-minute consultation.
